What's the most popular e-bike the world?
It's a great question, and not one with a straightforward answer. To pick the “most popular” e-bikes globally, we used review volume as a proxy for unit sales. We scraped listings on the largest general e-commerce marketplace with open review data because: It captures a huge share of worldwide online bike sales.
All counts below were captured 1 July 2025 and rounded to the nearest whole review. Prices are the list price shown the same day but can move quickly with promotions.

What the numbers tell us
Budget still rules the roost – Seven of the eight bikes land below the $1 000 mark, confirming that price sensitivity drives review volume.
500–750 W is the sweet spot – Models that bump against U.S. Class-2/3 limits generate the most buzz; truly high-power options rarely hit big review counts.
“Ready-to-ride” packages convert – Bikes that ship with fenders, lights, or baskets reduce accessory hunting and shorten the path from checkout to first ride.
Mod culture fuels word-of-mouth – Ancheer controller hacks and Lectric XP accessory threads keep owners engaged and reviews flowing.
